Steve Rimar is a data analytics expert, technology evangelist, entrepreneur, and engineer with over 20 years’ experience in the software engineering, business intelligence, and IT industries. Steve has earned multiple honors including being published in CNN, NBC, Investor’s Business Daily, InformationWeek, Accenture’s Annual Report, Qualcomm’s Report About People and holds two U.S. patents. Steve’s experience and industry recognition within the data analytics field provided him the opportunity to found Analytica Consulting in 2014.

Jennifer De La Cruz

Senior Director of Analytics

As Senior Director of Analytics, Jennifer manages Analytica’s consulting organization and is responsible for the delivery of all client projects. She is an accomplished data analytics professional with over 25 years of experience in consulting and industry. Jennifer holds a master’s degree in data science and engineering from UC San Diego, an MBA from Wharton, and a master’s degree in engineering from Stanford University. She is also certified as a Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt.

Jennifer has a passion for using statistics and data science to solve complex, high-value business problems. Her experience spans a range of functions including financial management, process improvement, operations management, product development and product quality. Jennifer’s industry strengths lie in information systems, financial services, healthcare, engineering, manufacturing, and insurance.

Clifton Leung

Senior Director of Finance & Operations

Clifton is an accomplished Finance and Operations executive with over 17 years of expertise working for large consulting firms such as Deloitte and PWC. He has expertise specializing in strategic and financial advisory, business operations process redesign, and advancing high performing teams. Clifton holds an MBA in Finance and Management Science from the University of California Irvine and a Bachelor’s of Business Administration from Northeastern University.

Clifton excels at restructuring business processes, leading the implementation of complex financial procedures to optimize resources, driving analytical support and execution of business development initiatives, and partnering with cross-functional teams to achieve objectives. He has a dynamic professional background with experience across industry verticals, including Consumer Products, Technology, Financial Services, Healthcare, Energy & Utilities, Entertainment, and Telecom.

Brent Johnson

Director of Analytics

Brent is a seasoned business intelligence executive and data visualization expert with over 15 years of experience and an MBA from UC Davis. He is a Tableau Certified Professional and is proficient with several platforms including Microsoft, Tableau, Salesforce, Cognos, and Denodo.

Brent has deep expertise in the public health, healthcare, vision, pharmaceutical, and biomedical research industries. He helps clients utilize their data to improve decision-making and increase efficiency. He has garnered extensive experience managing numerous government agency data projects for the the States of California and Nebraska. He has also managed implementations at several commercial Fortune 500 organizations including Pfizer, Illumina and Qualcomm.

Laura POWELL

Associate Director of Finance & Operations

Laura joined the team as Manager of Finance & Operations after 8 years in various back-office roles at Goldman Sachs in New York City. She most recently supported the Structured Finance division at GS, where she handled bespoke Physical Commodities arrangements and handled several front-to-back processes including contract reviews, reconciliations, model creation, process enhancements and reporting.

Laura holds a B.A. in Economics and Psychology from Bucknell University and specializes in payments and reconciliations, risk mitigation, operational enhancements, and excellence in client service.

Josh Karpen

Principal Lead Consultant

Josh holds a Master of Science in Data Analytics from Northwestern University, and a Data Mining Certification from University of California, San Diego. He is an expert in data modeling, data visualization and predictive analytics. He has expertise and certifications in many data analysis tools and platforms including Tableau, Denodo, Microsoft, R, SAS, Python, and SPSS.

Josh’s domain expertise spans multiple domains including Public Health, Manufacturing, Quality, Product Development and Insurance.
